8 Tactical Pants Stocking Stuffers

Forget pinning up that overplayed red stocking to the mantel this season. Tactical pants are a more than perfect vessel for present storage. Hang up those puppies (careful, not *too* close to the fire!) and watch how many more gifts Santa stuffs in with all that extra pocket space.

However, if you don’t point the worker elves in the right direction, you might end up with the kinds of things you just have to re-gift. Here’s a good list of items to forward along north.

1. A good light source can be crucial in some missions. The Falcata 9-Volt Flashlight ($109.99) might be pricey, but it’s specifically designed to survive drops and recoils.

2. Trick out your belt with a fancy buckle. Firefighter.com offers a few specialty belt buckles (like the one pictured below) for EMTs and paramedics for around $13-$16. CopSeek lists a police belt buckle with “POLICE” in bold silver lettering for $14.95.

3. Never mind diamonds. There are some glamorous earrings for emergency service personnel including dangling silver- or gold-plated handcuff earrings ($19.95, pictured below).

4. Be a cut above the rest with the Crucible 2 Folding Knife ($69.99). Made out of AUS8A stainless steel with a black Teflon finish, the 8-inch knife comes with a 3.25-inch blade. Already a Crucible 2 owner? Store your toolbox in your back pocket with Blackhawk’s HawkHook ($29.99). This multi-purpose device with a folding blade allows you to break glass, strip wire and more at a moment’s notice.

5. The end of the year always presents itself as the logical time to buy a calendar to prepare for the upcoming months. Use The Worst-Case Scenario desk calendar ($11.69) each day for a survival tip to better prepare yourself for any emergency situation.

6. For those who want their firearms closer than usual, BDU.com offers an inside-the-pants clip holster with retention straps (14.99). The clip features a smooth nylon lining for an easy draw and an ultra-thin, four-layer laminate provides a moisture barrier, which will give your weapon extra protection.

7. Nothing says you’re a sharp shooter like carrying around a pen that is in the shape of a bullet. The bullet pen ($5-$25) fits perfectly inside a .375 H&H Magnum shell. Or store your money in a bullet keychain ($45, pictured below). The waterproof 44 auto mag bullet replica provides a safe haven for money, aspirin or even a band-aid.

8. If you need something a little more discreet than a flashlight, try out a night-vision monocular. At $169.95, this palm-sized monocular will allow you to see in the darkest of nights while you remain invisible.
