So, who wears tactical pants?
Tactical pants are most often seen in the law enforcement community. Cops will wear their “tac pants” both on and off duty with regularity. ATF, ICE, SWAT Teams, FBI, Border Patrol are all organizations that issue this technical apparel directly to their personnel. Last but definitely not least, paramedics and EMTs don similar trousers.

OK, but aren’t they just glorified cargo pants?
Sort of. Tactical pants are essentially an expensive cargo with a few technical modifications. However, tactical pants are a much more evolved pant. With that higher price comes quality, durability and some pretty awesome features like waterproofing and knee reinforcements. Nowadays major brands make tactical pants in dozens of styles and colors specifically tailored to suit your needs. Read more about the history of tactical pants.
