TACTICAL PANTS NEWS
Your Resource for Everything Tactical Pants
It’s no secret that women love men in uniforms. Nobody knows that better than Rebecca, creator of Hott Cops, a blog that chronicles ever-so-handsome men (and women!) in blue.
Since launching more than three years ago, Hott Cops has become a fan favorite. One endorsement of the blog reads: “I just found out that my husband is on Hott Cops, and believe me, he deserves it because he is HOT HOT HOT!,” while others give thanks for support and recognition. Rebecca was kind enough to pause her sexy-man hunt for a few moments to answer some questions for us.
What qualifies someone as a Hott Cop? And why do you spell it with two T’s?
In a poll I posted on the site, the majority of my readers seemed to think that what made an officer “hott” was a combination of a good sense of humor, looks, intelligence, confidence and the uniform. Of course, since we’re looking at pictures with the majority of them, I guess we’d have to go with looks and how they wear the uniform. Seeing them and hearing them on TV makes it easy to decide. I firmly believe confidence comes through in photos, too, which is why some guys on the site might not look all that great to others, but I see their inner sexy — and I like it!
Spelling “hott” with two T’s is just a gimmicky thing like Toys R Us with their backwards R.
Hmmm, Hott Cops R Us … Dang. Clearly I didn’t think that blog title through long enough.
What inspired you to search for sexy police officers online?
Not having a life helps. I started watching Cops when they were running blocks of the show in the afternoons. I began mentioning all the good looking officers on my personal blog. The guys who read my blog didn’t want to hear about knockout male cops — I don’t know why guys don’t like to hear about other guys
. So, I told them I was going to start a site dedicated entirely to cops. Take that, guys!
Hott Cops was born, and the guys who read my blog were devastated. OK, exaggeration, they were over the moon, but it worked out for all of us. I have to admit, I’m amazed at how many handsome cops there are. I thought I’d find enough pictures for a few months, but Hott Cops will be celebrating four years of sexy lawmen (and women) online this coming March.
Where do you find most of your Hott Cop candidates? Have officers ever submitted their own picture for your consideration?
No, the officers don’t send me their pics. I don’t think the majority of the guys even know the site exists! I hear a lot from the wives/girlfriends of the officers who find their man’s pic and are proud they made the site. Usually I see an eye-catching officer on TV shows, like Cops or D.E.A. or Bait Car. The show Speeders is a gold mine of appealing officers. So much so that I’m convinced being “hott” is a prerequisite for being featured on that show.
In your humble opinion, who is the hottest cop? What makes them hotter than the rest?
In my humble opinion, that would have to be Deputy Grant Henderson from Palm Beach County. The fact that he’s got the whole package: intelligent, sexy, handsome, confident. It’s what makes him hotter than the rest. Plus, he was on Cops, and I liked the fact that he was charming and nice … as he slapped the cuffs on someone and hauled them away.
By the way, I’m almost embarrassed to say that I’ve seen so many episodes of Cops that sometimes I can tell who the officer is before I ever see his name simply by the sound of his voice. Freaks my husband out every time.
Have you considered an ‘Uglyy Cops’ blog?
Gawd, no! Their job is hard enough as it is, and besides, I honestly believe everyone is “hott” in their own way.
By the way, I’m deeply disappointed that you didn’t ask me anything about tactical pants, and somewhat relieved considering I don’t know anything about them other than the fact that they make cop butts look pretty doggone good!
