The New Coolness: Vertx coldblack® Polos

Would you believe it if we told you the hottest shirt for the summer was also the coolest?

Believe it or not, Vertx’s coldblack® is sizzling with sleekness and style. And in this case, it’s just not all about aesthetics. There’s actually functionality behind this fashion statement.

coldblack®, a finish for textiles, partially blocks sunlight from absorbing in fabrics, thus preventing the fabric from becoming too hot. That way, you can wear darker colors under direct sunlight and not feel like you’re being set on fire, which is always a plus.

On top of that, the coldblack® finish protects against those ultra-harmful UV rays. As such, it gives you a minimum UPF of 30 in any of its various colors. According to the makers of coldblack®, this protection is usually much higher — at times even exceeding 50 UPF.

Vertx incorporates this technology in a moisture-wicking polo constructed of 100% polyester. When you wear the polo — available in white, tan, navy, black and red — you’ll be given super powers to reflect nearly 80% of sunshine, keeping your body at a comfortable temperature while the rest of the world is covered in sweat.

Actually someone at TacticalPants.com headquarters is sporting a black coldblack® polo today and is looking cooler by the minute. In fact, it made him feel so cool that he has publically declared his love for coldblack®. Oh, and there’s nothing that goes better with a coldblack® polo than a freshly pressed pair of tactical shorts.

  1. Loving my coldblack polo. It was my favorite shirt during my recent visit to the Phoenix area. Comfortable, lightweight, and SPF protection built-in.
